These jigs are used to create tree style percs. Traditional jigs can be heavy and do a poor job keeping everything secure while you stitch and cap. I start with lightweight aluminum and I precision cnc bore out the pockets to any needed dimensions. Once that’s done they are turned down on a lathe to produce the step at the top. This provides a clamping surface for the tubes allowing them to be fixed securely with a twist of wire(20g stainless is recommended) or a pipe clamp. The jig secures to the center tube via brass setscrew and both thumbscrew and Phillips head options are provided.
I currently make 2 sizes, both of which use a 12.7mm(1/2″) center tube with 9.5mm(3/8″) arms. The smaller 6 arm jig produces a finished tree that has a ~33.3mm OD. This will fit most 44mm heavy wall tubes or larger. The larger, 8 arm jigs produce a finished tree that is ~38.2mm, a good fit for most 50mm heavy wall tubes or larger.
Custom sizes are available, contact me for details.
